Instructions
for Updating:
Your existing ONTRACKEQUINE installation is likely to be stored
at location:
C:Program Files/ONTRACK.
The new version will default to C:Program Files/ONTRACKEQUINE.
So install new version as instructed above (your existing files
will be untouched).
Start the new program by clicking on OTE_FULL_VERSION
shortcut on your desktop. On the Intro screen, select DataSync
then select Previous Full Version. This will then copy your data
folder to the new update.
Check all your files within the new version. If you are happy
all is there, you can then deinstall the old version by going
to Program Files, ONTRACK, UNINSTALL.
Anti-Virus: Full Version Only.
Users may experience a problem with certain new laptops
that have Norton Anti-virus installed. When trying to run ONTRACKEQUINE
you may get a message relating to 'Please install shockwave player'
or 'Dongle not found'. If you disable the Auto-detect feature (normally
right click on the Norton icon in bottom right hand corner of the
screen) and run the program again it should work. There is a fix.
Fix - Download the following file, click here.
Double click to view haspdinst.exe file. Save this file
to your C: drive. (C:\haspdinst.exe). Then
click on Start/Run, then type
c:\haspdinst –i –av . Any problems contact Mark on info@ontrackequine.com.
